The SCBV2P2 is a SCART to Component transcoder which can trancode any standard RGB SCART format into Component Video format at the same resolution as the incoming video resolution. In addition to transcoding, it also provides a L/R audio output as RCA from the SCART connector. This trancoder only works cables with SCART connectivity, not the Japanese RGB21 connector which physically looks identical from the outside, but has different connectivity internally. The following are the device specs and feature list.

Sync Compatibility:

  • Composite Video
  • Composite Sync (3.3V to 5V)
  • Sync on Green

Video Signal Compatibility:

  • Video Input: 0.7Vpp Signal @ 75Ω termination
  • Video Output: 1.4Vpp Signal with series 75Ω output resistance, ~300mV Sync Tip
  • Will work with any DC offset at input
  • Output biased at 0V
  • Output disabled until valid signal detected

Horizontal Scan:

  • 15.7KHz and 31KHz compatibility
  • Will automatically switch between all sync types and all scan rates

Audio Output:

  • Auto mute/disable when no valid signal

Awesome SCART to Component converter
An absolute must if you have old consoles and a component capable CRT lying around (along with a cheap corresponding SCART cable). Makes my Genesis look amazing. Better than a retrovision cable on some of my monitors (probably due to the powered cable). No regrets on the purchase, it's a quality converter.
